Sylvie Cachay Found Dead

NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com)- Renowned designer Sylvie Cachay was found dead at a posh Manhattan hotel room on the early hours of Thursday. Although no one has been charged in the case as of now, the 33-year-old fashion designer’s beau Nick Brooks has been detained by authorities for questioning as he was the last person seen leaving the hotel room before Sylvie Cachay’s body was discovered. The designer’s body was found after a staff of the Ninth Avenue hotel was informed by a guest that water was overflowing from the ceiling at around 3 on Thursday morning.

After the hotel officials rushed to Sylvie Cachay’s room without any delay, they discovered her body floating in the bathtub with the water running in full force. The designer’s body was removed from the bathtub and CPR was administered on her but to no avail and later she was pronounced dead by the doctors, police officials have revealed. Hotel staff have divulged to cops that the designer’s boyfriend Nick Brooks was the last person seen exiting from the room at around 2 a.m. and later when he returned at around 5 in the morning, he was detained by police for questioning.

While revealing about the leads that have been found in the case of Sylvie Cachay’s death, Paul J. Browne, the chief spokesperson of the Manhattan Police Department told reporters that the report of the medical examiner is being awaited as it would shed light into the cause of the death. The spokesperson further reiterated that any conclusion about the case regarding whether it is a homicide cannot be reached until the medical examiner’s report is available.
