Jury reaches verdict in Angels pitcher DUI death

SANTA ANA, Calif. — A jury has reached a verdict in the murder case of a man accused of causing the drunken driving crash that killed Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart and two others.

The panel will read its verdict Monday in Santa Ana for 23-year-old Andrew Gallo, who is charged with three murder counts and other charges.

Gallo is accused of drinking for hours before getting behind the wheel, running a red light and T-boning another car carrying the 22-year-old Adenhart, 20-year-old Courtney Stewart and 25-year-old Henry Pearson.

He has pleaded not guilty.
