Arizona Shooting Victim Gabrielle Giffords Recovering

TUCSON (GaeaTimes.com)- U. S. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was severely wounded in Arizona shooting is responding to the medications, the doctors said. The assailant Jared Lee Loughner, opened fire at a busy supermarket on Saturday and killed six people and wounded nearly 17 people. Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot in her head in the Arizona shooting was immediately taken to the University Medical Centre in Tucson. The doctors at the medical center reported that the U. S. Representative is responding to the commands though her condition is still critical.
Dr Michael Lemole, Chief of Neurosurgery of the medical center told at the press conference that the doctors are encouraged as Gabrielle Giffords is responding to the medications. However, he reported that brain swelling can take a bad turn anytime but he was “optimistic” about the treatment. On the other hand, U. S. President Barack Obama has strongly condemned the Arizona shooting and said that Gabrielle Giffords was his friend and an “extraordinary” public servant. The President has sent FBI Director Robert S. Mueller to investigate about Arizona shooting. The FBI director, in one of his interviews, told a reputed media source that he believes Jared Lee Loughner will be charged with Gabrielle Giffords’ assault and killing of other people.
Representative Gabrielle Giffords remained in critical condition on Sunday after her surgery. Doctors said that though he was responsive but her condition remained precarious. However, the doctors said that they had to remove half of Gabrielle Giffords’ skull to take out the bullet and she is presently in a medically induced coma. The U. S. Representative remained in ventilator on Sunday. President Barack Obama has urged the nation to observe a moment of silence to honor the victims of Arizona shooting tragedy.
