LA police: Drug delivery man kidnapped, released

LOS ANGELES — Authorities say two men dressed as police officers abducted a pharmaceutical delivery man, then dropped him off at a nearby intersection and fled in his van.

Los Angeles police say details about the abduction are not yet available but it started at a Rite-Aid pharmacy in the San Fernando Valley.

Police spokeswoman Sara Faden says two men in a black Honda parked in front of the Sherman Oaks pharmacy at 7:15 a.m. Thursday.

She says they kidnapped the driver and took his van.

Faden says the black Honda also was driven away.

Police don’t know if there were drugs in the van, if weapons were used or if the driver was injured.
