2 teens charged in Mass. bullying case in court
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — Two teens accused of participating in the bullying of a 15-year-old Massachusetts girl who hanged herself are due for court appearances.
Kayla Narey and Sean Mulveyhill are among six teenagers charged in connection with South Hadley High School freshman Phoebe Prince’s suicide in January. Prosecutors say she was despondent after incessant bullying.
All six of the teens have pleaded not guilty.
Narey and Mulveyhill, both 17, are scheduled to appear Wednesday in Hampshire Superior Court for a scheduling hearing. Another defendant, Austin Renaud, is scheduled to appear there Oct. 4.
Three other teens — Ashley Longe, Sharon Velazquez and Flannery Mullins — are due Sept. 23 in Franklin-Hampshire Juvenile Court.
