6 teens charged in California boy’s beating death
STOCKTON, Calif. — Six California teenagers are being held on $3.5 million bail each after being charged in the death of a 14-year-old boy who was beaten and stomped at a Stockton city park.
Police say the victim, Rin Ros, of Stockton, went into cardiac arrest and died at a local hospital Friday a few hours after he was pulled from a car and jumped by a gang of other boys at Panella Park.
The suspects range in age from 14 to 19, yet all were charged with murder as adults during their arraignments on Monday.
A San Joaquin County deputy district attorney says she could not a remember a homicide case involving defendants so numerous and so young.
A youth leader at Rin’s apartment complex says the boy’s head and chest were swollen when she tried to revive him.
