Teen Phillies fan stunned by Taser gets probation
PHILADELPHIA — The teenage Phillies fan who was stunned by a police Taser after running onto the baseball field has been placed on six months’ probation.
Seventeen-year-old Steven Consalvi was also ordered by a Philadelphia Family Court judge to complete 80 hours of public service.
Consalvi, of Gilbertsville, Pa., did not comment after the ruling Thursday. He had been charged with defiant trespass, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Consalvi jumped onto the field at the top of the eighth inning during a May 3 game between the Phillies and the St. Louis Cardinals.
He ran around the field until a city police officer used a stun gun to subdue him.
The incident was captured on video and went viral on the Internet.
