Murray threat defendant pleads guilty in Seattle

SEATTLE — A man accused of threatening to kill Sen. Patty Murray over her support for sweeping federal health care legislation has pleaded guilty.

Sixty-four-year-old Charles Alan Wilson of Selah entered the plea Thursday in U.S. District Court in Seattle to a charge of threatening a federal official.

Wilson was arrested in April after leaving voicemail messages laden with expletives and threats to kill Washington’s senior Democratic senator.

The U.S. attorney’s office says he faces up to 10 years in prison when he’s sentenced in October.
