Suicide attack kills 3 in southeastern Afghanistan

KABUL — A government official says a suicide attack has killed three people in southeastern Afghanistan.

Mohammad Jan Rasoulyar, a spokesman for the Zabul province governor, said the victims were a private security guard and two civilians. Seven people were wounded Sunday by the attacker, who was on foot.

In Logar province, west of Kabul, witnesses say a crowd has blocked a main road to protest what they said were civilian deaths in operations by NATO and Afghan troops.

The crowd started to gather Sunday morning.
