Ohio ex-doctor pleads guilty to child pornography

HAMILTON, Ohio — A former pediatrician convicted in southwest Ohio of sex crimes involving ex-patients has pleaded guilty to child pornography.

Hamilton resident Mark Blankenburg pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented material or performance and one count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. He was sentenced to one year in prison on each count with the sentences to run concurrently with his current prison term.

He already is serving 21 to 27 years for his October conviction on gross sexual imposition and compelling prostitution along with money laundering and drug charges.

His twin brother, 54-year-old Scott Blankenburg, pleaded guilty in January to sex and bribery charges involving former patients and is serving a 13-year prison term.
