3rd man posts bail in concert ticket fraud case
NEWARK, N.J. — A Los Angeles man charged with running a massive online concert ticket fraud has posted bail in New Jersey.
Kenneth Lowson was arrested Monday with two other men in a 43-count indictment. They allegedly used computer programs to illegally buy 1.5 million concert tickets.
On Wednesday, Lowson posted $1.25 million cash bail plus four properties in California and New Mexico. He also submitted to electronic monitoring.
Kristopher Kirsch of Los Angeles, and Joel Stevenson, of Alameda, Calif., also are free on bail. A fourth man, Faisal Nahdi of Los Angeles, has yet to surrender.
The four allegedly made $29 million in profits for their company, Wiseguy Tickets, between 2005 and 2009. Lowson’s attorney said his client merely developed a faster way to get tickets.
