Officials: 3 found dead in home in Chicago suburb
DARIEN, Ill. — Authorities are investigating the deaths of three people found shot during a home invasion in a Chicago suburb.
Darien police Chief Robert Pavelchic says officers found the victims when they arrived at the house early Tuesday. Detectives are questioning a woman who called 911 to report the shootings.
Pavelchic says the shootings don’t appear to be random and he doesn’t believe residents in the area are in danger.
Darien Mayor Kathleen Weaver described the situation as a home invasion.
The names of the victims haven’t been released. Police say no suspects are in custody.
