Pakistan suicide attack kills 2 police officers
ISLAMABAD — Officials say a suicide car bomber has attacked a police station in northwest Pakistan, killing at least two officers and wounding several others.
Police officials say Saturday’s blast also toppled a mosque next to the police station in Karak in North West Frontier Province. The area is not far away from Afghanistan.
The injured have been transported to a nearby hospital. Some are listed in critical condition.
No one claimed responsibility, but militants have targeted police, security forces and government offices in various parts of Pakistan in recent years to avenge military operations in the country’s tribal regions.
