Cavs’ West injures finger on shooting hand
INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — Cavaliers guard Delonte West has missed practice after injuring a finger on his left hand in a win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
The injury from Thursday night’s game could be a costly for the Cavs since West started in place of Mo Williams, who could miss up to six weeks with a sprained left shoulder.
The team said West, who shoots left-handed, was being examined Friday at the Cleveland Clinic.
West made his first start of the season and scored just three points in the Cavs’ 93-87 win and added four rebounds, three assists and two blocks in nearly 43 minutes.
