CIA victim interested in behavior behind economics
ROCKFORD, Ill. — The brother of one of the seven CIA employees killed in a suicide bombing at a remote base near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border says his family is “very proud” of Elizabeth Hanson.
Duane Hanson III of Rockford says the family plans to issue a statement Thursday evening about his sister.
Elizabeth Hanson died Dec. 30 after a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device that also killed the other CIA employees.
Teachers at Keith Country Day School in Rockford are remembering Hanson as a bright, engaging and outgoing high school student. Hanson graduated from the private college prep school in 1997.
Her Latin teacher, Sherrilyn Martin, remembers Hanson as easygoing and friendly, and very serious about academics.
