2 sought in torture of 5-year-old CA boy
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. — California authorities are searching for a man and a woman accused of torturing a 5-year-old boy for five months.
San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies say the boy was deprived of food and water, sexually molested and burned with heated spoons and a glue gun. He is in foster care.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Arden Wiltshire said Tuesday that $1 million arrest warrants have been issued for 28-year-old Crystal Pauline Rodriguez and 32-year-old Martin Roland Morales.
They fled during a child abuse investigation in August and are believed to be in Los Angeles County.
The boy’s mother and a 16-year-old roommate were arrested in August after an anonymous tip to child abuse hotline.
Wiltshire says there may be other arrests in the case.
