This arrest followed after John Skelton’s release from a Ohio mental hospital this week. According to sources, he was undergoing mental treatment after he had attempted homicide on Friday. Charges has been levied against him of kidnapping his three sons - Andrew, 9, Alexander, 7, and Tanner, 5. Reports say that the children had gone missing since Thanksgiving day and an eye-witness claims that the children were last seen on that day in the backyard of John Skelton. In the statement that the accused father has given to FBI, he has said that he never wanted his kids to be with him, when he would commit suicide. This is why he had handed them over to a female acquaintance named Joann Taylor, who was supposed to drop the kids to their mother Tanya Skelton in the Lenawee County on Friday afternoon.
However there has been no trace of the woman named Joann Taylor, whom John Skelton claimed to have met online. Police have dismissed the statement pronouncing it as a well cooked up story. according to sources, they have said that Joann Taylor is no one else but the alter-ego of John Skelton himself.
