ROSEVILLE (Gaea Times.com) Alexander Piggee has been arrested on the grounds of having set Roseville Galleria Mall on fire, on Wednesday. The 23 year old suspect was arrested from inside the mall where he took shelter after having set fire to the merchandise in a video game retail store, which quickly spread to other stores and consumed an entire wing in the mall. Alexander Piggee had reportedly entered the store at around 10:30 in the morning and announced that he was armed. After having ordered the people out of the store, he set fire to the merchandise. Huge columns of smoke could be seen rising from the mall, the legal authorities and firefighters rushed to the scene immediately.

The mall has sustained extensive damage and will be closed by the authorities for an uncertain amount of time. The mall was a massive source of income for the local government in terms of taxes, and many employees are worried for their jobs. However, announcements have been made to reconstruct the mall and open it as quickly as is humanly possible. Alexander Piggee used to work at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant from where he was fired in August. Alexander Piggee’s mother, Mary Carter said that he had moved out and no longer lived with her but they were on good terms. She expressed her shock at the incident and said that he was upset when she put him out of the house.

Alexander Piggee is also suspected of another fire at Walmart in Sacramento County. He has been booked for arson charges and was transported to Placer County Jail in the evening around 7 pm, as told by Roseville police.
