Drew in wait-and-see mode on Dunn
DALLAS — Baylor coach Scott Drew says he is not making any new plans for his team after guard LaceDarius Dunn was arrested this week after allegedly hitting his girlfriend.
Dunn was suspended Tuesday after he was charged with aggravated assault. Dunn’s girlfriend, Lacharlesla Edwards, denies that Dunn hit her last week. She wants the charge dropped and her boyfriend reinstated to the team, which he led in scoring during last year’s run to the NCAA regional finals.
Drew says he’s not making any plans to play with or without Dunn this season until more is known on his case. Otherwise, he stood by the university’s position that it was cooperating with authorities and gathering information on the case.
