GAINESVILLE (GaeaTimes.com)- A shooting in Gainesville left two people dead including the gunman and five injured, the police reported. The horrific incident happened yesterday afternoon after the gunman fatally killed himself after shooting six people at a random spree. The law enforcement officials after investigation found out that the gunman is Clifford L. Miller Jr., 24.

Clifford L. Miller Jr. was later found with self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head in a red Chevrolet truck. The whole incident left the law enforcement officials and the citizens in a state of shock and the investigators have not found a reason for such an incident. A source close to the police said that the law enforcement officials were received 911 calls between 4:03 p.m. and 4:16 p.m. as the gunman rampaged through the Gainesville, Florida. The whole shooting and rampage reportedly took place at six different locations and it happened within a three-mile location.

The law enforcement officials are still clueless and they are trying to figure out the relationships between the victims and suspect. However, the eye-witnesses are of the opinion that Clifford L. Miller Jr. was targeting some of the victims. The family and neighbors of the gunman said that he even killed his father but the police declined to comment anything about the whole matter. Lt. Steve Maynard of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office reported that all the victims of Gainesville shooting were adult males and their injuries varied from “minor” to “very serious”. Police Cpl. Tscharna Senn told a reputed media source that five people were shot within the city limits and two others were shot in Alachua County. The police is still investigating about the motive of the shooting.
