Officials: 4 shot outside Camden, NJ; 2 dead

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — Authorities say four people have been shot, at least two fatally, in southern New Jersey.

Jason Laughlin, a spokesman for the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, says the shooting occurred late Thursday in Pennsauken, a Camden suburb.

Laughlin says the dead include a 12-year-old and an 18-year-old. He says a 16-year-old was wounded.

Laughlin says police shot the gunman. The fate of the gunman was not immediately released.

A fire could be seen near the building where the shooting occurred. It was not immediately clear whether the two were related.

Pennsauken is a town of about 35,000 people, just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia.
