Bond $3M for suspect in killing near Ohio church

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Bond has been set at $3 million for an Ohio man suspected in the fatal shooting of a man as he and his wife left their church.

Kevin Agee didn’t enter pleas on charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault during a Wednesday hearing in Municipal Court in Youngstown, where residents say they’re concerned about dilapidated houses and violent crime.

Agee is accused in the death of 75-year-old Thomas Repchic and the wounding of 74-year-old Jacqueline Repchic, who were shot in their car Saturday as they left St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church. Police are looking for a second suspect.

The shooting came about eight months after another member of the church was killed by a gunman in the church parking lot. Another man is charged with that crime.

Court records don’t indicate an attorney for Agee, who remains jailed.
