New Birth Missionary Baptist Church Pastor Refutes Charges

LITHONIA (GaeaTimes.com)- New Birth Missionary Baptist Church’s pastor Bishop Eddie Lee Long’s wife Vanessa Griffin stood by her husband yesterday when he delivered his speech in front of thousands of audience during the ceremonial services in the church. The wife of the pastor did not comment anything to the media. However, in his statement Bishop Eddie Long said that he would fight against all the “false” charges against him.
New Birth Missionary Baptist Church pastor said in his statement that he has been accused and he feels that he is under attack. The pastor admitted that he is not a perfect man, yet he said that he would fight against all the allegations. On the other hand the attorney of the plaintiffs, Brenda Joy Bernstein previously said that the church officials knew about the whole incidents before but they would do anything to save the reputation of the church and hence they kept the matter under wraps. The lawsuit that was filed on last Tuesday claimed that Bishop Eddie Long coerced two men into sexual relationship with him. After that even two other men filed lawsuit against him, citing the same allegations.
Bishop Eddie Long spoke in front of thousands of members in New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and said that he is not the kind of man who is portrayed in the television. His attorney previously said that the Bishop categorically denies all the charges against him and he would prove that when he delivers his speech on Sunday. However, the attorney of the plaintiffs, Brenda Joy Bernstein was not found for any immediate comments.
