2 charged in killing of Ohio real estate agent
CLEVELAND — Two men are jailed without bond in Ohio in the strangling of a real estate agent, the first of two agents killed in a week while showing homes for sale in northeast Ohio.
A police affidavit says 25-year-old Robert Brooks of Youngstown and 21-year-old Grant Cooper of Hubbard have independently confessed to “the crimes against” 67-year-old Vivian Martin, who was strangled before the house was set on fire. They are charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated arson and kidnapping.
Through a video hookup from jail, the men appeared Friday before a Youngstown judge who made the bond decision.
The manhunt continues for the suspect wanted in the slaying of a real estate agent found dead Tuesday at a house he was showing near Kent, 40 miles from Youngstown.
