VANCOUVER (GaeaTimes.com)- Bethany Storro, previously gained sympathy of the world when she said that she was attacked by an African American woman who splashed acid at her. She even recounted that horrific incident to the media saying she does not know who was that woman. However, the whole media and the world was stunned to hear that Bethany Storro admitted that the acid attack story by another woman was a hoax as she splashed acid at her own face.
The acid attack hoax has shocked her friends and family as they are left speechless at this moment. However, the family released a statement where they apologized to everyone saying that they are “deeply sorry” for the incident and they do not know why their daughter burned her face. Last Thursday the Vancouver police issued a report of their investigation where it was said that Bethany Storro was not attacked by any stranger but her burns were self-inflicted. About the acid attack hoax Bethany Storro’s mother Nancy Neuwelt said that may be her daughter is dealing with some internal “emotional and psychological” problems.
The acid attack hoax is still a mystery to the media as well as Bethany Storro’s parents. Her mother said that they hope that the “medical community” can find some answer about the whole matter. Bethany Storro underwent a surgery after her acid attack and was released from the Legacy Emanuel Hospital burn center on September 6, 2010. Joe Neuwelt said that all the money will be donated to her and they are not holding back any money back for any reason. Her parents said that their daughter will be receiving counselling. They now hopes that Bethany Storro can begin to heal because the truth has been revealed.
