BAKERSFIELD (GaeaTimes.com)- A California doctor named Jacquelyn Kotarac died a tragic death when in a desperate attempt to get into her boyfriend’s house she took the path of the chimney opening and got stuck. The decomposing body of Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac was discovered by the house-sitter after three days, on Saturday. Although the exact cause of death has not been determined as of yet and an autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday, the police have said that they do not suspect any foul play.
The Bakersfield police on Tuesday mentioned that Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac was in an “on-again, off-again” relationship with her boyfriend in whose house she tried to enter that fatal day. Bakersfield police Sgt. Mary DeGeare said that 49-year-old Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac first tried to enter the house with a shovel. Unable to succeed, she climbed a ladder and reached the roof and then opened the chimney cap. She then tried to slide herself through the narrow channel and got stuck in the process. The man whom she sought to confront had by then left the house through another door according to the police report. Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac apparently then died stuck in the chimney and her body was discovered by the house sitter and her son after three days when they noticed stench and fluids coming down the chimney. The body was found stuck two feet above the top of the interior opening of the fireplace.
Informed of the decomposing body, firefighters on Saturday took around five hours to dismantle the chimney and get the body of Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac out of it. Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac was reported missing by her colleagues two days ago when she failed to turn up at her work place.
