Ore. man charged with murder in deaths of parents

DALLAS, Ore. — A 20-year-old Oregon man has been charged with aggravated murder in the deaths of his parents at their home.

The Polk County sheriff’s office says the bodies of 61-year-old David Scott Jondle and his 58-year-old wife Marilyn Jondle were found Tuesday morning after deputies responded to a report of an unconscious person at the home in Dallas, Ore., just west of Salem.

Investigators say the couple appeared to have suffered trauma but that it had not been determined how they died.

The couple’s son, Andrew Jondle, remained held at the county jail. His girlfriend, 46-year-old Cindy Lou Beck, of Salem, was charged with hindering prosecution.

It was not immediately known whether Jondle had retained an attorney. A call to the public defender’s office was not returned Tuesday.
