Suspect in deadly NY bar shooting due in court
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A 23-year-old Buffalo, N.Y., man accused of fatally shooting four people outside a downtown Buffalo bar is to be arraigned on murder counts.
Authorities say Riccardo McCray is scheduled to appear in city court Thursday morning. He turned himself in at a TV studio Wednesday afternoon, and police charged him with four counts of second-degree murder.
McCray is accused of opening fire on a crowd outside the City Grill around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 14 after its managers shut down the restaurant early because of a disturbance.
Four people were killed, including a Texas man celebrating his wedding anniversary. Four others were wounded. Three have been released from the hospital while the fourth remains in critical condition.
