Suspect charged in Washington state girl’s slaying
PUYALLUP, Wash. — A prosecutor in Washington state has charged an 18-year-old Puyallup man with aggravated murder in the slaying of a 16-year-old girl with developmental disabilities.
Pierce County prosecutor Mark Lindquist says Tyler Wolfgang Savage strangled and raped Kimberly “Kimmie” Daily on Aug. 17 and then dumped her body in a thicket of blackberry bushes.
Savage was scheduled for arraignment Tuesday afternoon in Pierce County Superior Court in Tacoma. Lindquist has not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty.
Savage took sheriff’s detectives to the body on Monday during questioning. He said he led Daily to the isolated area and strangled her when she attempted to leave. Savage said that after the killing, he went to a neighbor’s house to play video games.
