LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- On Tuesday, two fetuses wrapped in newspapers dating back to 1930s and kept inside doctor’s bags were found inside an unclaimed steamer trunk by women who were cleaning the basement of a four-story 1924 apartment building in the Westlake district of Los Angeles. Apart from the 1930s newspaper, the other items that have been found in the trunk along with the fetuses are, a certificate giving some “Miss Jean Barrie” membership to the Peter Pan Woodland Club mountain resort, a manual bearing the signature of “Jean M. Barrie“, and some wedding photographs. Interestingly the trunk also had tickets stubs of 1932 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

The cleaning women who were cleaning the basement called the police on Tuesday after finding the fetuses in the trunk that is inscribed with initials JMB which most likely is the shortened form of Jean M. Barrie. The coroner’s officials have begun investigation into the case that dates back more than seven decades. Coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter said to media sources that the officials of the department are trying to “piece all the parts of the puzzle together”. While the Peter Pan Woodland Club has ceased to exist, a puzzle has been created by the news papers in which the bodies were found wrapped in. The remains that have been described as fetuses were wrapped in news papers that dated 1933 and 1935.

However, the women who had found the remains have said that the larger set of remains was packed in a newspaper dated 1932 and the smaller one was contained in a paper from 1935. Yiming Xing one of the two discoverers believes that one of the papers was from 1934. However, whether the fetuses have any relation with the mysterious Jean M. Barrie is yet to be confirmed by the police.
