PHOENIX (GaeaTimes.com)- Federal authorities on Monday morning were finally successful in capturing one of the murder convicts who had escaped from the Arizona prison late last month. Tracy Province was nabbed by the cops without incident yesterday at Meeteetse, Wyoming which is about 60 miles away from the Yellowstone National Park and a handgun was also recovered from him.

The news that Tracy Province is now under the custody of the authorities was revealed in a press conference that was held on Monday. While addressing the media, U.S. Marshal David Gonzalez divulged that the authorities were informed about the escaped convicted killer by a Meeteetse citizen who had met 42-year-old Tracy Province outside a church and had talked to him about the odd jobs around the town. However, she was in for the shock of her life when she came across the pictures of the escapees and immediately identified the murder convict. The U.S. Marshal further revealed that after they were provided the tip-off, the area surrounding the church was kept under surveillance and the local police moved in to take him into custody on Monday morning. Although, initially the Arizona fugitive denied his identity, later he admitted that he was indeed the person the cops were looking for.

Despite the fact that the authorities have been successful in capturing Tracy Province as well as one of the other escapees, Daniel Renwick, the whereabouts of John McCluskey and the suspected accomplice Casslyn Welch still remains unknown. In the meanwhile, the cops have also stated that a $40,000 reward would be given to anyone who could provide information that might lead to the arrest of the remaining convict.
