US man faces trial in Mexico for child pornography
MEXICO CITY — A Mexican judge has ordered a U.S. man held to face trial for allegedly possessing and manufacturing child pornography.
The Attorney General’s Office says in a statement that Gary Michael Feroglia was arrested in the Pacific port city of Manzanillo.
It says investigators found more than 100,000 photographs and 207 videos of child pornography kept on computer hard drives in Feroglia’s home in Manzanillo.
The office said Monday the investigation of Feroglia was launched based on information provided by U.S. officials.
Prosecutors didn’t say where Feroglia is from and the U.S. Embassy in Mexico wouldn’t provide any information on him.
