PALATKA (GaeaTimes.com)- The case of the missing Florida girl Haleigh Cummings has hogged the limelight once again in relation to a drug related case. The parents of Misty Croslin, who was watching the five-year-old girl that night she disappeared, have been taken into custody on charges of purchasing cocaine as well as parole violations. Authorities have revealed that Lisa Carmen Croslin and her husband Hank Thomas Croslin Sr. were arrested on Friday night with charges of buying cocaine, tempering with evidence and violating their probation in earlier cases, levied against them.

While revealing details of the incident, Assistant Police Chief James Griffith stated that Misty Croslin’s parents were detained on Friday night at a house at 809 Bronson St. in the city of Palatka in Florida during a crack cocaine operation in which 13 other people were also taken into custody. The police official added that the couple came in a car to purchase the drug and Hank Thomas Croslin Sr. went inside the house to purchase cocaine worth $20. After they were allowed to drive away, they threw the drug out of the car window on realizing that cops were following them but were soon nabbed by the authorities.

After their arrest, Misty Croslin’s parents were being held at the Putnam County Jail and both of them have been denied bond as they have been instrumental in violating the earlier probation charges. Lisa Carmen Croslin was on felony probation with regard to a forgery case while her husband Hank Thomas Croslin Sr. was already on probation for charges relating to doctor shopping.
