Officials: Arrest linked to Hemet police attacks
HEMET, Calif. — Authorities say there’s been at least one arrest linked to a series of seven attacks on Hemet police.
The Press-Enterprise reports that detectives served a series of warrants Friday night and planned to announce significant developments and suspects in the case later Saturday.
Since Dec. 31, Hemet law enforcement officials have been targeted seven times through booby traps and arson attacks. The latest attack came Monday when a fire was set at the Hemet police evidence storage facility.
Police did not give any indication as to who was arrested Friday night.
