Suspect in killing of 2 Fla. officers under arrest
TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa police say a man suspected of killing two police officers is under arrest.
Authorities announced Dontae Morris’ arrest Friday evening. A news conference is scheduled for 11 p.m.
No further details were immediately released.
Morris is suspected of shooting to death Tampa officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab early Tuesday during a routine traffic stop. Multiple law enforcement agencies have been conducting a massive search to find him.
Officials say Morris, a 24-year-old convicted felon, is a suspect in two other slaying and wanted for questioning in a third, in addition to the police killings.
