3 Ohio drifter murder suspects plead not guilty
MEXICO, Mo. — Three members of a Missouri family charged in the murder of a drifter from Ohio have pleaded not guilty.
Chester C. Harvey Jr., his wife, Angela, and Harvey’s son, Chad M. Harvey, also asked for a change of judge and a new venue Wednesday during their first court appearance at the Audrain County Circuit Court.
The Harveys are among eight suspects in the murder and kidnapping of 20-year-old James William Boyd McNeely in December 2009. He was found dead in the refrigerated compartment of an abandoned trailer.
KXEO reports that Chester Harvey’s request for a new judge was granted but rulings on requests from the other two were continued until their next hearings. The change of venue requests were all continued.
