Man who called self ‘demon’ found guilty of murder
INDIO, Calif. — A man who California prosecutors said calls himself a “witch” and a “true demon” has been found guilty of second-degree murder in a shooting that took place last November on Friday the 13th.
A Riverside County jury found Dale Christopher Farquhar guilty Tuesday after hearing that detectives found a notebook in Farquhar’s apartment that referenced weapons, hatchets and a chain saw and had the words “kill, kill, kill” written in it.
Prosecutors say Farquhar’s girlfriend met 57-year-old Larry Fisk at a Palm Springs pub a day before the killing. She invited him to visit their apartment the next day where Farquhar shot Fisk in the back of the head with a shotgun.
Farquhar faces 15 years to life when he is sentenced Sept. 3.
