Producer seeks custody of children when wife slain
LOS ANGELES — A custody hearing is set to determine guardianship of the two children of a producer of the TV show “Survivor” and his wife, who was found slain in Mexico.
An attorney for the parents of Bruce Beresford-Redman is expected to ask a Los Angeles judge Friday to terminate their temporary guardianship.
David and Juanita Beresford-Redman filed an ex-parte motion Thursday in which their son asked to resume parental responsibility.
Carla Burgos, the sister of Monica Beresford-Redman, also is seeking guardianship of the children.
The body of Monica Beresford-Redman was found April 8 in Cancun. Her husband has been considered a suspect by Mexican investigators. He has denied any involvement.
