Iowa wrestler Marion suspended following arrest
IOWA CITY, Iowa — Iowa star wrestler Montell Marion has been suspended indefinitely after being charged with drunken driving.
University of Iowa police records show Marion was arrested early Tuesday in Iowa City. Associate athletic director Fred Mims says Marion has been suspended and the school hopes to have a statement about his future with the Hawkeyes on Wednesday.
Marion won a pair of state titles at Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. He finished second at 141 pounds in the NCAA Championships last season and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
