Official: Brothers both present in cafe shooting
LOS ANGELES — A law enforcement official says the brother of a man suspected of fatally shooting four people at a Los Angeles restaurant was also present during the attack but did not open fire.
The official says Samuel Galstyan (gal-STEE’-an) was at the Hot Spot Cafe on April 3 when his brother Nerses fired about 50 rounds into the restaurant. The official asked not to be named because the investigation is ongoing.
A fugitive task force arrested both brothers Tuesday night at a home in the northern Seattle suburb of Kenmore.
The Marshals Service says murder warrants were out for both men.
The suspected gunman, Nerses Galstyan, also faces federal charges after being indicted this month on firearms charges.
Los Angeles police say more details will be released later Thursday.
