Maoists bomb govt buildings in Bihar

Maoist rebels bombed as many as three government buildings in Bihar late night on Saturday to vent their ire at Operation Green Hunt, police said today.

Police said the hundreds of Maoist insurgents raided Adhaura block in South Bihar’s Kaimur district and blasted three govenrment buildings using high-powered detonators.

The blasted buildings include a primary health centre, school building and a community centre.

Barely a day ago, the rebels had killed two farmers, father and son, and also blasted two houses in neighbouring Rohtas district.

A state government report has said 33 out of total 38 districts of Bihar are infested with Maoist activities.
