Serial killer’s home up for sale in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A “for sale” sign has gone up in front of the former home of Sacramento serial killer Dorothea Puente.
Puente was charged with murder after police unearthed seven bodies in the yard of the two-story Victorian duplex in 1988.
Known for running a boardinghouse for the elderly, Puente was convicted of three murders and is currently held in the Central California Women’s Facility near Chowchilla. She was 64 at the time of her sentencing.
Bank of America is trying to sell the property after it slipped into foreclosure in June 2009. The last reported price of the home was $335,750.
