Vallejo ice cream truck vendor shot near school
VALLEJO, Calif. — Vallejo police say a woman was hospitalized after she was found shot inside her ice cream truck near a middle school.
Sgt. Kevin Bartlett says police discovered 39-year-old Amarjit Kaur of Vallejo slumped behind the wheel of the truck around 2:41 p.m. Wednesday with gunshot wounds to her chest. The truck was near Springstowne Middle School, where Kaur apparently regularly sold ice cream.
She was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where she was listed in serious condition Wednesday night.
Police have released surveillance video from a nearby business of a person they would like to question about the shooting.
