Shooting reported at Illinois farm supply store
MACOMB, Ill. — Authorities say a gunman is still inside a farm supply store in western Illinois where a shooting occurred, but there are no immediate reports of injuries.
Reporters on the scene say two hostages could be seen leaving the Farm King retail store in Macomb Wednesday afternoon.
Macomb police confirmed that the shooting occurred but provided no immediate details. Illinois State Police say there are no reports of injuries.
McDonough County sheriff’s officials are also assisting at the scene.
Western Illinois University has alerted its faculty and staff to avoid the street where the store is located. The campus remains open.
