Court-martial for rapping soldier charged with making threats to be held in Kuwait, not US

Soldier accused of threatening rap sent to Kuwait

SAVANNAH, Ga. — The U.S. military is sending a soldier accused of making a threatening rap song to Kuwait for a court-martial.

Specialist Marc A. Hall was being held at Fort Stewart near Savannah following his arrest in December.

Military charges claim he posted a rap song criticizing the Army for its “stop loss” policy that kept him in uniform past his planned discharge date. He talked about firing his Army-issued rifle and watching bodies “hit the floor.”

Military officials said most of the witnesses for the case are currently deployed to Iraq and they will be needed to testify.

But a civilian attorney consulting on his case, Jim Klimaski, says it will make it more difficult for Hall to call witnesses in his defense.
