Corrective: Senator’s Office-Arrests story
NEW ORLEANS — In a story Jan. 26 about an alleged plot to tamper with the phones in U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office, The Associated Press reported erroneously that ACORN lost its federal funding. Congress passed a law to cut off their funding, but it was later overturned by a judge. The government is seeking to have the ruling reversed and the legal dispute is ongoing.
