Wis. mother sentenced for helping dispose of body
FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A Wisconsin woman convicted of helping her son dispose of his girlfriend’s body has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison.
Authorities say Nancy Pinno of Fond du Lac helped her son transport the body of 28-year-old Renee Redmer in a cooler from Pinno’s apartment to another home. Brandon Mueller is accused of strangling the young mother last January. He’s awaiting trial.
At Wednesday’s sentencing hearing, Pinno denied knowing Redmer’s body was in the cooler.
Authorities say Pinno and Mueller had taken the cooler the home of Donald Worth. Worth has pleaded no contest to helping Mueller burn the body and dispose of the remains through holes in the ice on Lake Winnebago.
