LYNWOOD (Gaea Times.com)- Brian Dorian, a police officer, who was on off duty, was arrested on Friday on charges of committing First degree murder. The officer was on one year’s medical leave owing to a shoulder injury and is accused of having killed a man and wounding two others. Brian Dorian, 37 is being held on a bail of $ 2.5 million at the Will County jail. The shooting took place on the Illinois- Indiana border. The man killed is a construction worker in Will County while another wounded is reportedly an Indiana Farmer, who was gunned down and robbed, while he pretended to be dead. The incident occurred on Tuesday and Brian Dorian was arrested outside his Crete Township home on Friday.
Brian Dorian has been described as a friendly and loving personality. His father, John Dorian refused to come to terms with the fact that his son has committed a murder. He said that his son was not the kind of person to walk up and shoot anyone. His father admitted to his son having a .40 caliber handgun in his possession, but seemed doubtful that his son could have used it as he was on a medical leave due to shoulder injury. He asked the police to keep on looking for the real gunman.
Apparently many are in a doubtful state with the news, “it’s unbelievable, my wife called this morning, and she was crying when she found out it was him”, said Benny Riccio, owner of Benny’s Place in Lynwood. The authorities have not detailed the evidences that led them to Brian Dorian but said that the investigation was continuing at “fever pitch”.
