Fox 5 NY reporter charged with child sex assault
WYCKOFF, N.J. — A reporter for New York City’s Fox 5 station has been arrested in New Jersey, accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl.
Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli says Charles Leaf is charged with aggravated sexual assault on a minor and endangering the welfare of children.
Molinelli says the charges stem from accusations that Leaf sexually abused the girl at his home in Wyckoff.
He was arrested at the home on Tuesday and is being held on $250,000 bail.
The 41-year-old Leaf, a former Marine and a married father of two, joined the station in 2006.
A station spokesperson says Fox 5 management is aware of the matter and is reviewing it.
It was unclear on Friday whether Leaf has an attorney.
