Colton Tooley Identilfied As The University Of Texas Gunman

AUSTIN (GaeaTimes.com)- University of Texas saw a student who allegedly wore a dark suit and a mask with an assault rifle opening fire before he ran into a library and shot himself. The university authorities said that nobody else was hurt in the incident. The police,however, identified the University student as Colton Tooley.
The University of Texas authorities released an all clear notice but the university was closed for the safety of the student. The president of the university Bill Powers said that the campus is presently safe. The Austin Police Chief Art Acevado said that the university will be completely open and back to normal condition by today. The police is, however, still investigating why Colton Tooley did it. The police released a statement saying that the gunman was a 19 year old boy who was from maths major department. Colton Tooley’s parents did not immediately respond to the message but one of the members of his family said that it was a great shock to his family and nobody in his family believed that he could do something like that.
The University of Texas spokesman Robin Gerrow said that after Colton Tooley created rampage in the campus, he was chased by the police and later he was found on the sixth floor of the university in the main Perry-Castaneda Library, where he shot himself. After the news of his death broke out, Colton Tooley’s high school principal said that Craig Shapiro said that all the people in Crockett High School are “shocked and saddened” by the whole tragedy of University of Texas. The principal also released a statement where it was stated that Colton Tooley was a “brilliant, meticulous” and “respectful” student. The University of Texas police chief Robert Dahlstrom said initially the authorities thought that there was a second shooter with Colton Tooley, however, later they realized that he acted alone.
